This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am always looking for different ways to show my students how one can exercise. I love the options of what resistance bands bring for a workout. They are lightweight, easy to travel with and the exercises can be done anywhere.
Along with resistance bands, I'm looking to incorporate cardio drumming and stepper workouts.
I have plenty of five gallon buckets to do cardio drumming.
The exercise balls will give us options on our drumming as well as use in other ways. The steppers will be great to incorporate in circuit training or station work as well as give some students an outlet to release some energy.
All of these ideas are great options for students to use at home for exercise if there is ever another COVID type pandemic, snow days, or any other time when school is not in session. Exercise is a great outlet for not only are physical well-being but as well as our emotional and mental well-being.
