My Project

Living in Oklahoma means several days of unexpected weather, which leads to a lot of inside recess. Getting students to focus in the afternoons after not having an outlet for their energy is exhausting. To help this problem, I am trying to find new and creative ways to engage my students during their inside recess. Several of the items in my project are individual games that the students can play.

Giving the students an appropriate way to release their pent-up energy will help the students focus on learning in the afternoon.

These games and activities will increase their learning ability later in the day and will decrease my stress levels. My hope is that this will help me focus on the reasons why I decided to become a teacher; instruction and learning, not behavioral management.
