Giving our Test Tubes a Bath

My Students

My students are excited to do real life biotechnology and need the equipment to do it.

My biotechnology classes are filled with bright juniors and seniors at a wonderful high school in Northern California.

They are highly motivated and head towards college. These students are actively involved in the science program and biotech is for most of them their last high school science course.

My Project

The PCR Water Bath will give my students the tool they need to perform more precise experiments. This water bath has three separately controlled temperature chambers that would be great for doing a PCR experiment where the temperature of the sample needs to be changed at certain times. This equipment will also be used for general classroom needs for warming test tubes at a constant temperature.

Biotechnology is a fast growing field and to give my students the competitive edge, they need access to proper lab equipment.
