My Project
My classroom is small, but I have several students who would benefit from some alternative seating options. Some of my classes have up to 1/3 of the students on 504s or IEPs, many of them for Autism and ADHD.
Wiggle stools would give my students who need it a chance to move and a way to do it while still working and not being a distraction to peers.
I see this as a way to help students understand how to manage themselves in order to be productive.
I plan to have the stools as a seating option for any student who wants to use one at any time. They would just switch out the chair at their desk with a stool. Once I get an idea of who wants to use them, I can also have a permanent stool seat so that it doesn't need to be switched each class period.
