Help me give my students TIME magazine subscriptions to enhance their love for non-fiction texts.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Wood's classroom raised $292

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What students lack is the ability to connect to the text they are reading. With the additions of materials like TIME magazines, students can take their analyzing skills to a whole new level. Students will be reading independent books they will connect to real world articles they read through TIME magazines. Engaging students in current events, popular fiction and various literary works, will enhance their reading skills for the future.
I'd love to have my students blog using the material from the TIME Magazines and create video news reels just like their local news station!
Students will engage in whole class read-aloud. They will invest themselves in discussions about current events and analyze various outcomes. Students will read about problems in the real world and find plausible solutions through cause and effect reading strategies. The key to my resources is to get my students real-world ready with an excitement for reading
