My Project

I service students with mild/moderate autism and other varies disabilities in a self-contained classroom. My students need several movement, sensory, and social emotional breaks to keep them motivated throughout the school day. I like to use sensory toys and materials as incentives for my students to complete work tasks, for good behaviors, to help with self-regulation, and as learning tools. I believe that having a sensory station will be beneficial to my diverse learners because this will give them the motivation, incentives, and social emotional support to be successful in the classroom.
