Get us up and moving! My students are interactive learners needing to explore literature that opens their imaginations. Help them explore science through using microscopes to look further into nature. Help them to become our next authors and scientists!
My 2nd graders are energetic learners who love to explore and have imaginations out of this world!
At a Title I school it can be somewhat frustrating to provide my students with the materials they need to really explore learning. Field trips are almost non-existent, so instead I try to bring those outside experiences to the classroom.
My Project
With your donations my students will be able to enter middle school with knowledge of how to operate science equipment such as microscopes and how to prepare specimen slides. In science we take a look at animal life cycles. Instead of viewing charts students will collect their own specimen and prepare it to view using a microscope. They will learn how to ask constructive questions to understand what they've read. Using the comprehension ball students will be able to answer questions about texts and reference text for further information. With your donation my students can travel in the past, future, transform into characters, create math, become architects, and see things beyond the naked eye! Let's make learning both informing and exciting!
Give them the tools and they will build!
Help their dreams of being a doctor, scientist, author, policeman come true. With these resources they will want to learn more and become better at their craft. As a first year teacher working with low-income families we need additional resources to make sure that our students are educated on the same level as their affluent counterparts.
