My Students
I teach in a 6th grade to 12th grade college preparatory academy. We draw most of our students from the areas in northern Manhattan and The Bronx.
All of the students who attend our school live in inner city areas that requires them to handle situations that many kids in many other parts of the country never encounter.
This makes them strong and resilient.
I want to do whatever I can to give my students the best opportunities as they learn and grow into productive college-ready high school graduates.
My Project
My students always need materials for producing their work. They desperately need pens, pencils, paper towels, paper and other materials to do their classwork and homework.
I like to use lots of color when putting models and notes up on the dry erase board.
Subjects in biology class are always easier to understand when students can see colorful, hand-drawn models on the board leading to great discussions of life and living things.
All of the materials on my list are intended to be used in the best interests of my students. Whatever I can do to provide the best learning experience for my students is what I want them to have.
