My Project
I am a French language teacher at CBHS, a public school. Two years ago I started getting books for my classroom library; however, the quantity of books I have now is not enough for all of my students since I was transferred to another school. I am asking donors to support my students' joy of reading in French. My students' French language proficiency varies from low to superior.
I would like to maintain their joy of reading by incorporating a daily 15 minutes of independent reading of a book of their choosing.
To sustain that productive practice I need more books in our classroom library to create easy access for the students.
Reading experts agree that the more a person reads the more they can improve their vocabulary, so I am counting on the generous donations to keep on giving the joy of reading Francophone literature to my students.
