My Project

I am preparing a French classroom library from scratch to support meaningful language learning. As a new teacher setting up my very first classroom, I would like to create a space where students can explore French through books that are engaging, visual, and accessible.

One of the most impactful items in this project is the French–English Illustrated Dictionary, which offers clear visuals and context to help students make lasting connections with new words.

Along with leveled readers and culturally rich texts, this resource will support vocabulary growth, reading comprehension, and cultural awareness.

Starting with no materials, I want to build a welcoming and well-equipped environment from day one. This library will allow students to connect with French in ways that feel approachable and inspiring, and it will help create a strong foundation for language learning from the very beginning.
