My Students
Students in our building are excited about learning. They enjoy technology and hands-on activities. They work well with one another and share their thoughts and ideas. They are tired of worksheets and want to learn ways to solve math problems that exist in our real world.
Math today is about collaboration and talking with a partner.
Having a subscription to DynaMath to share with a partner will allow for math discussion and problem solving with real-world examples. Students will enjoy getting the opportunity to talk about math.
My Project
DynaMath magazines from scholastic are high interest reading that allow students to do problem solving and critical thinking skills outside their normal math curriculum. Students will benefit from reading and solving math in an engaging way by discussing how to complete problems.
Students will get an opportunity to work with each other to relate their current math curriculum to what's happening around the world.
They will share how they think about solving math and learn problem solving strategies through collaboration. They will enjoy the colorful photos in DynaMath that bring problems to life. It will allow students to make connections on how they use math every single day.
