Give Our Soccer Team a Kick Start!

Help me give my students Soccer Uniforms to compete in and represent our school with pride!

My Students

The boys and girls soccer teams at our school consists of passionate and dedicated members whose lives have been positively impacted by the sport of soccer. Our students travel from all over the New York City Metropolitan area to attend. Our school is a select STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) school in partnership with Columbia University. School is very important to our students but having other sports, such as soccer, provides other learning opportunities that we don't always get in the classroom (e.g. sportsmanship, optimism, confidence, teamwork, etc.).

Our two teams consists mostly students of color from low income backgrounds who have a deep love for soccer and dream beyond anyone's understanding.

These are students who have lots of potential, and this is a team that needs support to withstand the test of time, as it is part of a 6-12 school where middle school students look up to the team need it to last long enough for them to also join.

My Project

Donations from this project will help benefit both our teams by alleviating the cost from working families of having to buy these costly supplies. By absorbing this cost, students can focus on the game and the skills they are trying to develop from participating.

In addition, these jerseys will help build team camaraderie and help us promote school pride!

To us, pride is something that can’t be measured; it describes our passion and satisfaction for our school and the opportunities that they have given us. Additionally, we would like these uniforms to provide further unity and team cohesiveness. when a team gets matching clothes they feel a sense of closeness and unity, which benefits their performance on the court and off when representing their school.

Lastly, another goal for obtaining these jerseys is that they can be reused for future soccer students at our school.
