This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our PreK classroom has children whose native language is Polish. Help us create a library with books that reflect their language and culture and support belonging and self-esteem. A critical part of the PreK curriculum is a focus on establishing a sense of self.

Providing children with books that reflect their language and culture establishes a positive foundation and affinity for reading that lasts a lifetime.

The books included in this project are in Polish. The book topics include colors, numbers, the alphabet, families, foods, and everyday items. These books will be included in our classroom centers and our classroom library.
