My Project
Our 3k classroom has children from 6 different countries from around the world. Help me to create a library with books that reflect their language and culture and support belonging and self-esteem. A critical part of the 3K curriculum is a focus on establishing a sense of self.
Providing children with books that reflect their language and culture establishes a positive foundation and affinity for reading that lasts a lifetime.
Books include multilingual books in English and Polish, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and Arabic. Topics include colors, numbers and animals. Additionally, I've chosen books that reflect experienced young children can relate to such as going to school for the first time.
