My students need a class set of dictionaries to help boost their language and vocabulary skills!
My 3rd grade students are a great group of children!
We come from a school in rural east TN with a high percentage of low income families. Many of my students are eager to read. However, challenging them to read books with a higher level of vocabulary becomes a difficult task. A class set of dictionaries would keep new vocabulary at our finger tips!
My Project
Third grade is such a pivotal year in elementary school. Students are going from 'learning to read' to 'reading to learn.' Unfortunately, not every student is at the level of being an independent reader. The dictionaries will help improve our language and vocabulary skills which are crucial to becoming successful readers.
If this project is funded, my students will have an extra tool to help them to become better readers.
Every 3rd class needs dictionaries. Please help give 'meaning' to my 3rd grade class!
