This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are low-income, very diverse, needy kids and they have high expectations. They all want to be heard but some talk in soft voices. Some can hardly be heard when we collaborate. My proposal, and what is needed to improve the quality of education, is to have a pass-around microphone, so even the littlest voice can be heard loud and clear. This teaching tool would allow every student to be heard loud and clear in the classroom.

My Project

Give every student a chance to be heard. Some students speak in a soft voice and when we collaborate as a class, it is hard to hear their message. Every student has the right to be heard loud and clear and a sound system will allow this to happen. Talking softly should not be a reason not to be heard. If all students speak into a sound system, every one of their ideas can be understood clearly by everyone simply because you can finally hear every word they are talking about. We need this teaching tool, so everyone can be heard.
