Help me give my students tools to enhance their communication skills as a Visual Communication Book for preschoolers within the Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as flashcards for speech therapy in order to teach them pragmatic language.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach exceptional students most of them diagnosed with Autism, Developmentally Delayed and Down Syndrome, as a consequence they have speech/language disorders, however, in my classroom every day small miracles happen when they make eye contact or say a new word. They want to communicate and understand the world.
Helping them to have age-appropriate communication, even for nonverbal children, would allow them to express their needs, interests and feelings which would improve their quality of life and facilitate their full inclusion.
All behavior is communication, so they would definitely also improve their social and adaptive skills for a happy and successful school life. Thank you.
