This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a Title I school in Georgia. I work hard to provide resources for my students. Sometimes we need extra help, but my students are worth it and more.

My students are curious about the world we live in.

I try to encourage this learning by making them question what they see and how they could be problem solvers to fix or answer those questions. Having students answer problems and work with others is a rewarding process that should be encouraged in this world.

My Project

I am adding iPads into my classroom to assist with my students learning in the classroom. My school normally has 4 Chromebooks per classroom, however, due to COVID-19, those laptops have been checked out to those families that are staying home. My students in the classroom do not have that resource to use in class to research questions.

Having questions about the world we live in is something I push in my classroom, and these iPads will assist students in answering those questions.

The iPads will be staying in my classroom to help with in-class research. I will be using them for genius hour, where students are able to explore and write about a topic that interests them. They will also be used to help students get the digital instruction from support teachers using features, such as Zoom, to communicate with them.
