This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My name is Amy Cimino and I am a school social worker at an inner city high school in CT. Because so many students are in need of counseling services and there is only one me, I run several girls groups. The girls love these groups, find them very helpful and supportive. They get to know other girls who struggle with their same concerns while opening up and having some fun. I would love to receive the journals to use and give to my girls who I meet with in group. I think they would enjoy having their own books to work on and refer to when feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed, etc. Thank you in advance for your kindness to myself and my girls!
