Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students I teach come from a variety of different economic backgrounds, with 100% of students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in San Diego. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, and Burmese.
Our school is home to students that strive to be confident, respectful, responsible, and healthy thinkers.
I am kindly asking for your support in helping us as we continue distance learning. We need read aloud books for students.
My Project
For over a year students have been away from the classrooms they love so much. They have overcome so many challenges and are now ready to get back into the class. Things aren't exactly like they used to be though, we now have to be socially distanced and can not longer share materials. Many students are also nervous and anxious about leaving the safety of their homes.
I'd like to welcome them back with lots of love and SPARKLE!
