Girls Who Play Sports - Soccer

Help me give my students the full soccer experience as I train them to be players on the field or as goalies. These young ladies literally asked to learn and play soccer because of their own motivation!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These specific items will allow us to train middle school girls to play soccer and prepare for HS soccer careers. We are a very small brand new middle school with very limited equipment so these donations will be pivotal for us as we begin to develop student athletes. These young ladies actually directly asked for a girls soccer training program since we do not have actual sports teams here at our school. I also usually work from home on some days but my passion for soccer and to support girls to play sports made me choose personally to transition to being on site so I could coach these young ladies. They are so motivated, but most are trying soccer for the first time and do not yet have equipment.

Since we are not a formal soccer team, students are not able to get some equipment in any other means.

We are a a title 1 school with mainly Latino, Black, and Southeast/South Asian students so I would love to be able to connect my students to a rich history of sports and motivation to play sports seriously and pursue professional careers as women who play sports! My students and I are beyond excited and hopeful to be able to do this with success to create a positive team sport experience and healthy habits for these young ladies. It is also so amazing to see these young ladies building positive relationships with one another, through sisterhood experiences. These equipment are the last piece to this puzzle.
