My Students

As a coach in a low-income/high poverty school district, my student athletes are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide them with the best equipment available to them to help further their athletic career.

My student athletes are always excited to get on the court and always give 100% each day to make themselves better.

These girls are always excited to walk into the gym every day. I believe this is something that is a way out for them. They work very hard in the classroom and deserve to have a wonderful volleyball experience while they are in school. Many of them are in advanced classes and are still managing to keep their grades up and be active in more than one extracurricular activity outside of school.

My Project

The equipment that I'm requesting is for a girl's weight room. The girls use a weight room where most of the equipment is too heavy for them to lift. There are very few weights that they must share to be able to complete a workout, which takes twice as long as it should to get in a team workout. By getting these weights, we can be more efficient in the weight room and get more things accomplished. There also isn't any from of music in the weight room and I know that by adding a speaker, it will add more energy and motivation to the atmosphere!
