This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our girls are always eager to learn how to use different craft items for different reasons. While one of our girls may think of a friendship bracelet, another may create a string of beads for a picture frame or a purse.

By donating to this project, not only will you provide a child with an active mind but also two co-leaders with full hearts.

The after school program currently reaches out to 25 girls and counting. Not only will these items help with art projects, they will also encourage girls to think outside the box and use resources from the environment.

For instance, the glow in the dark rocks will further prove to them that anything can be turned into art and should be appreciated. The crayons, markers, and colored pencils will be used for simple sketches of what they'd like to build with the beads, pipe cleaners, and fuse beads. The keychains and bird feeders will help girls understand that crafts help others; the keychains to help with locating items and bird feeders to provide a place of rest and food for outdoor animals. The carts and tote bags will help us two leaders to rally up our materials and get ready for after school activities with the girls. I'm so excited for the girls to further develop their creativity skills.
