This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a Title 1 school where all the children qualify for free lunch. My students come from poor families who are barely making it with this tough economy.

I want the students to decorate their very own gingerbread house so they can take it home to enjoy with their family.

I usually get donors to buy all the houses but they do not come with most of the supplies we need to decorate them properly.

I want to make sure they have different types of candy to make it easy to decorate their houses. They need frosting to use as the glue. I also want to make the class look festive so they have an unforgettable holiday experience.
