Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year marks a milestone I will never forget 🎓. My very first group of students is graduating, and I have had the privilege of watching them grow from wide-eyed freshmen into strong, compassionate, and determined young adults 💪💖. Over the past four years, we have built relationships rooted in trust, shared countless memories, and navigated both joyful and challenging moments together 🌟.

Many of my students have faced significant challenges, including financial hardship 💸, high-crime neighborhoods 🚧, and family responsibilities beyond their years 🏠.

Despite these obstacles, they have continued to show up, work hard, and stay committed to their education 📚.

To recognize their perseverance and reinforce positive behavior, I am creating a PBIS-aligned incentive project that celebrates these students with meaningful graduation keepsakes 🎁. Items such as hand-decorated blankets, personalized zipper pouches, and custom keychains will serve not only as graduation gifts but also as rewards for meeting academic and personal growth milestones 🏅. These gifts support the goals of PBIS by acknowledging student achievement, encouraging continued effort, and promoting a sense of pride and belonging 🤝.

The keepsakes will be personalized by both myself and the students 🎨. I am requesting supplies such as fabric markers, patches, embellishments, and other decorating materials that will allow for creative expression and reflection 🖍️🧵. I am also requesting materials to help students decorate their graduation caps 🎓✨, adding a personal and celebratory touch to this important moment.

For many of my students, this may be the only graduation gift they receive 💝. With your support, we can provide them with something more than a memento. These keepsakes will serve as lasting reminders of their resilience, growth, and the community that believes in them 🌈🙌.
