Gifted Mathematicians & Scientists Need Dry Erase Boards
My students need dry erase boards and markers when they are working collaboratively with problem solving questions or when we play a class game with science vocabulary.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Sometimes paper and pencil gets boring, how about having personal dry erase boards available for each student!
I teach Math and Science to gifted fourth grade students.
I have two classes with a total of 44 fantastic fourth graders. My fourth graders are innovative and inquisitive. They love to working collaboratively on challenging problems and explaining how they got to an answer.
My Project
I would love for my students to have the opportunity to have their own personal dry erase boards and markers in the classroom. I provide my gifted students with many opportunities to work collaboratively on brain teasers, bafflers and higher order thinking math problems. The boards will encourage the students to try different avenues in solving a problem and they won't have to worry about "wasting" paper.
This project will not only allow my students to work collaboratively with higher order thinking questions, but they will also give me the opportunity to play Math and Science games in the class in a fun and interactive way.
