Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the privilege of teaching a wonderful group of third-grade students who are passionate about learning Spanish. While some are bilingual, the majority are focused on developing their Spanish language skills. They are eager to grow and embrace the challenge of mastering a new language, and they bring their unique backgrounds and perspectives into the classroom.

This is the second project with the same purpose, aiming to impact around 42 students.

For this project, I am requesting books in Spanish that will help my students expand their vocabulary, improve their reading comprehension, and build a deeper connection with the language. These books are essential in providing my students with high-quality literature that will engage them in their language-learning journey. By incorporating stories that reflect both their own experiences and new cultures, my students will not only improve their literacy skills but also develop a love for reading in Spanish.

The goal of this project is to provide my students with the tools they need to strengthen their reading abilities in Spanish, ensuring that they are prepared for continued success in their language learning.
