My Students
Hello! I am Ms. S and I am one of five members of the mental health team at our school. Our school serves 120 students K-12 who have emotional and behavioral disorders. These students attend our school because they have the most acute emotional and behavioral needs in our school district.
Each of our students have experienced trauma that impacts their everyday functioning.
Our students require an extra emphasis on social-emotional skills to aide them in regulating their behaviors and emotions. Despite the barriers our students face, they are very resilient and often excited to develop new skills.
My Project
This project is meant to help students receive gift cards (positive incentives) for positive behavior. Students follow a level system (1-4) where each student works their hardest to be at the highest level which is level 4. This can be a difficult task for many students.
When the students reach level 4 they work their hardest to stay on this level!
Student's often struggle with their behavior and when they work hard to maintain positive behavior they deserve to be rewarded. With these gift cards it will help student build rapport with staff along with the relationships that students have with their parents. Thank you!
