This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students make up the third grade ICT class in a high poverty school in Washington Heights. Despite the fact that almost 90% of the students in my school are from low-income​ families, my class is made up of an amazing group of children who love to learn. These children love school. They are inquisitive, creative, and very enthusiastic. They absolutely love reading, and many of them are approaching grade level and some are even reading above grade level. I can't wait to watch them grow even more this year!

My Project

My students were affected by the coronavirus pandemic. They left school last year not knowing they would not return until this September. They left all their supplies behind and began online learning. Learning must go on and my students need basic school supplies.

Teachers pay Teachers is a teacher website with endless resources made by our colleagues.

These cards will allow my students to continue learning at home with a variety of educational resources that are engaging and adapted to their needs.

The help of these gift cards allow a teachers budget to expand.
