My Project
We need glue, sealant, chicken wire, and duct tape to create a giant, interactive sculpture. This artwork will be inspired by magical movies that transport you into another world (My Neighbor Totoro, Alice in Wonderland, The Never Ending Story, Labyrinth, Jurassic Park, etc). Imagine something that you might find in a theme park. It will be exhibited outside of the school, so that students can interact with the artwork during lunch time. The initial concept is a half-animal, half-bus and will evolve as we acquire resources.
Also, we're utilizing recycled materials like wood pallets, crates, old doors and plastic bottles.
Having an unusual project will help bring excitement to the school culture and develop critical thinking skills.
Our 3D department will be constructing the sculpture, but everyone in the school will benefit from it.
