Getting To The ROOT Of The Problem: Focused Vocabulary Instruction!

Help me give my students a strong foundation for building vocabulary(dry erase paddles, chart paper, etc) in preparation for high school. They will build their own vocab journals with notebooks and colored paper!

My Project

This year we are focusing on building consistent and powerful vocabulary routines for our 8th graders. With the addition of AI and other common online tools, we decided to go back to our “roots” by having the children build their own Greek and Latin vocabulary books. They can reference them throughout their years at high school, and in some cases, even add to them. By having a well thought out and executed vocabulary routine before the school year even begins, we will help the students to expand their vocabulary skills.
