Getting Students to Fall in Love With Books!

Help me give my students an enjoyable library to read while at school!

My Students

I am a first year teacher and have been very transparent with my students this year. They have been nothing short of supportive human beings, and so loving!

After a very difficult year of distance learning, they came in ready to engage and learn in person for their last year at the k-8 school they attend!

Our school is fully inclusive, and I have never seen such welcoming and kind students in my life!

My Project

I took a reading survey from my students (including those who "hate" reading) and told them it was my goal to find something they would fall in love with! Many chose mangas, graphic novels, and comic books to try. As a first year teacher coming in right after these wonderful humans have had a very rough school year - I want to show them that ANY reading is "real" reading and it can be enjoyable.

Please help me create a library that speaks to my students and will make them fall in love with reading.
