My students need 2 activity tubs and 2 book libraries to expand their knowledge of force and motion and simple machines.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Underwood's classroom raised $288
This project is fully funded
I am a fourth grade teacher in a small rural school in Tennessee. I teach a self-contained fourth grade class. The school in which I teach is in a high poverty area which funds are very limited. Finding time to teach science, provide hands-on learning, and purchasing materials are difficult tasks. At this time, funds are limited to purchasing only necessary materials.
This year I have many students who are very inquisitive. They are always trying to figure out how and why something works. Science concepts such as force and motion are easier to grasp when students have hands-on demonstration models to see and use. I am looking forward to hopefully being able for my students to "get into motion" by seeing these concepts first-hand.
With your help, I would be able to receive two tubs of hands-on science activities which include activities on simple machines and force and motion. I would also receive two science libraries which include books on force and motion, gravity, and simple machines. With the purchase of these activities and books, I would be able to tie in literature and hands-on science activities. This would help with the inquisitive minds in my class.
With the purchase of these materials, you will make it possible for my students to be able to use hands-on activities to expand their knowledge about force and motion and simple machines. These activities will help answer some of the questions my students have about these concepts. Thank you for your time and consideration.
