Getting Started on the Write Foot!

Help me give my students in early grades resources that support literacy by combining learning, creativity and play using multi-sensory activities like letters stamps, tracing activities, magnetic/colorful writing boards, construction materials and matching games!

My Project

Recognizing letters and being able to write are foundations of literacy. Materials like letter stamps, playdough, magnetic writing boards and matching games reinforce letter concepts and provide practice forming letters and words.

Learning and writing letters and sight words CAN be fun when it is presented through a combination of hands-on, multi-sensory activities.

Our student population is especially vulnerable, and many are starting school without foundational pre-academic concepts and skills. Getting them to participate and having them enjoy school from the start is crucial to keep them interested in learning. Help me to build "stations" for K-1st grade students to support prewriting, writing and early reading while having fun! With the items requested, I will be supporting both regular education and special needs students in the early stages of development of academic and motor skills.
