This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We left school thinking we would be back in a week and never expected we would be distance learning for this extended period of time. There was no opportunity to prepare and most students do not have school supplies or technology at home. Many students are doing work online through their phones and in some families there are several siblings sharing one computer.

Many graduating students are questioning if they will be able to attend college online due to a lack of technology.

Many parents are out of work and cannot provide the essential the students will need to start college.

My Project

To be successful you need to have the right tools. My students are in need of technology to be able to do research, attend online classes, and complete assignments in college. This is a hard time for students to be graduating high school in an unprecedented way, and to be looking forward to attending college with much uncertainty of how classes will look.

Going to college online will be the norm for most students this fall.

Having the necessary technology will enable students to get started and keep them motivated to learn and succeed.
