Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students come from low-income families and face daily challenges that go beyond the classroom. They often arrive at school without basic supplies that support focus, comfort, and engagement in learning. With your generous support, I am seeking funding to provide water bottles, headphones, and fidget toys to help meet their essential needs and set them up for success throughout the school year.
These items may seem small, but they can make a big difference in the lives of children who are eager to learn but face economic hardship.
Water bottles will help ensure that students stay hydrated and healthy, especially those who may not have consistent access to clean drinking water at home. Headphones are essential for our classroom, as they allow students to focus on individual tasks, participate in digital learning programs, and reduce distractions in a busy environment. Fidget toys, on the other hand, provide a quiet way for students—especially those with anxiety or attention difficulties—to self-regulate and stay calm and focused during lessons.
