Hey! I have been blessed with the opportunity to begin teaching Special Education this upcoming year! To say I am excited, would be an understatement. Even though I am thrilled, I am also overwhelmed because I have nothing to start with! With your help, I can create task cards, a Calm Down center, and a Reading Nook for my new Mod. CDC kiddos.
It is not a child's job to learn the way I teach; it is my job to teach the way they learn.
In our classroom, I will have ten students ranging from second to fifth grade with different levels of learning disabilities. I want to provide the best education and learning environment I can to help them reach their goals.
I am using the binders for each individual child. This will be where I keep all their individual data and progress monitoring. I want to use the calming materials to create a Calm Down corner for when my students need to express their big emotions in a safe way. The bookshelf and the books will be used to create a Reading Nook. I am so excited to see how these materials will be used in our new classroom!!
