Help me give my students enriching, hands-on learning experiences, with academic games, STEM learning centers, readers, and engaging literacy activities.

My Students

My students come to our east-central Indiana school ready to learn every day. Although my students are from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, they love working together and making new friends each year.

My second-grade students are inquisitive and curious.

They love to work with hands-on projects and manipulatives. They are the most engaged when using their imagination or involved in a bit of friendly competition. That's why games and hands-on activities are so important to them.

These students love to read new and interesting texts, as well as learn new math concepts. My students have high expectations for themselves. I have students that want to be a doctor, veterinarian, animator, politician, and even a farmer.

My Project

My students are motivated by hands-on activities and games that involve peer collaboration. Sometimes the most rigorous and challenging work is disguised as a game and it keeps them engaged.

I enjoy giving them experiences that help them learn social skills and teamwork along with academics.

The Math File Folder Games, the Reading and Writing Folder games, and several other items on the list are set up like board games. Some of my students do not get the opportunity to play board games at home or build with bricks and puzzles. These items will enrich their learning experience.

I have science books and family involvement packs which will help parents to get to work with their students on projects as well!
