Getting Our Hands Dirty! Or Gloves

My students need a dissection kit and 7 dissecting trays.

Inner-city, at-risk students have the desire to learn but need to be fully engaged! They need a hook so they can concentrate on school instead of home.

HANDS ON! If my students are engaged in hands-on activities, inappropriate behaviors decrease and learning increases.

There are several things I would have students dissect if I had the materials. It could be as simple as dissecting a chicken wing and comparing it to their own arm. Or we could dissect frogs, worms, etc.

You would give my students a fighting chance to compete with their "advantaged" peers and inspire them to be something great!
