This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in the second smallest city in Los Angeles County. Our elementary school is 400 students strong. We have 1 percent African American and 98 percent Latinos. We have a 90 percent socioeconomically disadvantaged population and 4 percent foster youth. All of our students receive free lunch. Despite the many challenges they face, my students arrive every morning full of life, ready to learn, and excited to get started on our day. I do my best to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
I want to give my students a place to store their personal belongings. This storage easily roll everything out of the way and gives my students safe hooks in the middle and on the sides for hanging backpacks, jackets and more. It also provides top and bottom spacious shelves for other items like boots, water bottles and sports equipment.
My students need somewhere safe to store their backpacks and belonging.
Your donations can help me provide this for my students. In times of Covid and extreme cautiousness, we need a safe place that can be cleaned and disinfected daily with ease.
