Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials I am requesting already have a home meaning I know exactly where they will go. I am a first-year teacher and am trying to start my classroom decorations and organization. I just need help getting those things through my door. I will be teaching first grade so the pencil pouches are going to be given to each one of my students that way they all have a safe place to store their supplies in their desks. The sit dots are going to be a way my students can effectively learn during carpet time giving them a space to sit having a little more room to move around.
The last few materials like the bulletin board paper and border is to give my classroom a welcoming feeling so students aren't looking at blank walls or a sound wall that isn't easy to see.
The books are books that I would love to read to my students on the first day of school to start building a sense of community and family in my classroom.
