My students are an amazing group of kids. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth grade school located in rural California. It houses 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.
Our school has a strong academic and athletic culture.
I want to maintain our strength in these areas by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.
My Project
I am requesting 20 new basketballs for our 8th grade basketball teams.
Our basketballs our old and worn out.
We need new balls to replace the old ones so my students have the appropriate tools to learn and play the game of basketball.
In addition to our students using the balls for practice and games, the balls will used for the 8th grade boys' and girls' 8th grade basketball tournament our school hosts every year.
Having new balls will allow students to become team players, learn the skills needed to play basketball and to be competitive with other teams and schools.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
