Getting Kids Centered - Classroom Centers for 3rd Graders
My students need 5 hands-on centers to increase their depth of knowledge in Science, Reading, and Math.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Wright's classroom raised $969

My Students
“Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.” I would really love to have these hands-on centers for my classroom so that my students can get involved and take ownership of their learning.
I teach at a Title 1 school in a high poverty area of Florida.
Despite not having much, my students come to school with lights in their eyes and for some I know that school is the best part of their day. It's their attitude that keeps me coming back and giving it my all.
My Project
With the reading centers students build essential language skills in 5 key areas—with fun-filled activity stations that let them work at their own pace.
In the math centers students master place value, operations, fractions and more. My favorite are the science centers where students discover how fossils are formed, learn why plants grow toward light and more…as they complete super-engaging experiments that explore life, earth and physical science.
This donation would have a huge impact on my students not only gaining a greater depth of knowledge in read, math, and science, but also will give them the belief that school can be fun!
In such a high poverty area, many students give up on school much too early. I believe that these hands-on centers will be so engaging they're breaking down my door in the morning ready to learn!
