Getting Great Minds Together at the Activity Table
My students need an activity table so they can obtain small group instruction and testing. Small groups allow students a safe environment to participate in discussion and receive smaller ratio instruction.

My Students
"Can you help me with this question?" is something I hear every day in class. The only problem is I don't have a quiet place to help them. Small group instruction is key to get students to achieve at the highest academic level. In small groups, students feel safe to answer questions, and have a smaller student to teacher ratio to get help.
My students are selected by a lottery to attend a charter school in Pennsylvania.
They are fun, hardworking, and positive students that look to the school to provide a safe atmosphere to ensure their education. They are students that strive to be pushed to work harder and challenge themselves.
My Project
I am requesting an activity table to allow for small group instruction and testing. Small groups allow students to be safe while working among a smaller crowd. Students will feel more comfortable participating with less eyes focused on them.
Small group also allows for a smaller teacher to student ratio during instruction.
This table will allow 5-6 students to sit with the teacher and work on a lesson, where the normal ratio would be 30 students to 1 teacher. This table will be utilized for projects, testing and instruction. It can be used as a tool to gain the importance of the lesson.
