HELP: Fourth grade SMART board games needed!! For the past 14 years I have taught kindergarten, first and second grade. I found out that I am moving to fourth grade next year. While I have lots of games for the early grades, I do not have anything to start teaching fourth grade.
I teach at a Title One school where 94 percent of our students are on free or reduced price lunch.
Our school is made up of a very diverse group of students. Many of our students come to school not having much experience with technology. This makes it important to find ways to bring technology into the classroom.
My Project
One of my students’ favorite things to do was to play our SMART board games. I would love to have these games for my fourth grade students next year.
I would like to purchase interactive math and reading board games that the students can play on the SMART board. The students would work together in teams or against each other to move their pawns around the board by touching it. One benefit of the SMART board games is that there are no pieces to lose or boards to get worn out after a lot of use. They can be used in small groups with the teacher for extra math practice or as independent math centers. These are a great way to reinforce the standards that we are working on in class.
By purchasing these games and activities for the SMART board you would be providing my students with fun hands-on activities to help them reinforce what they are learning in the classroom.
Students love to use technology, especially the SMART board. This makes these games and activities the perfect way to teach reading or math concepts and to reinforce objectives we have been working on in class.
