My Students

This little crew is always ready and willing to go above and beyond, no matter what the task. They love to have fun, but they also love to learn. That is what I love about them. They never let anything stand in their way, not even the fact that more than three-fourths of our school population is considered below the poverty level. They are so determined to prosper and grow.

Their little brains are like little sponges that soak up anything and everything I can throw their way.

The more I throw the more they long for. It's amazing that their little heads can hold so much information yet yearn for more.

My Project

I have started transitioning my classroom into a more flexible space for my students, but I would love to give them more options to choose from. I started this journey last school year and my students really took hold of the concept and ran with it. This class has done quite the same. I love watching them explore the different seating options to find what works best for them.

In many ways our little ones are very similar to us.

I, personally, do not always find it appealing to sit in a cold, hard chair when getting my work done. Sometimes I love to sit on my couch, sometimes I find that I work better sitting at my table, sometimes I just like to stand at my bar. Our children are the same. Sometimes they just simply need different options to encourage their learning and to help them become more productive.

I would love to add a couch-chair combo, some exercise balls, and a set of wobble cushions. Can you help me provide my students with a flexible learning environment that encourages them to do their best by finding the best seating option available for them?
