Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love hands-on learning and get very creative when given the chance to design or build things in class. I’m hoping to harness this enthusiasm by bringing more engineering into my science classes. The books will help show students how many diverse fields of engineering exist and how engineering connects to many of their interests.

The hands-on engineering kits will give students a chance to develop real solutions to problems in the fields of medicine, optics, and hydroelectric power.

Each kit teaches students relevant science concepts as they prepare for the engineering challenge. Furthermore, the problem-solving skills and design process students learn will help them tackle any future problems in their lives, academic or personal.
