My Students

My children persevere through the toughest of times and always put their education first. Although my students are only five and six years old, they are resilient. Many of them come from low socio-economic areas of the city and have seen things I could not imagine, however these students are so resilient. They inspire me through the creative ways they play and learn and deserve nothing but the finest technology out there. This is my opportunity to give them every chance possible to further their education and allow their resilience to pay off.

My Project

I teach at a Title I school and am always in search of the next way to engage them in ways I feel could benefit them in the classroom. I have recently acquired an OSMO kit and am looking to use this to teach my students basic skills such as; letter to sound recognition, counting, and how to read basic words. The OSMO is also an amazing tool for advancing students who have already achieved the basic skills necessary for more challenging skills. The iPad would enable my students to use the OSMO in the classroom and the flexible seating would allow up to four students at at a time to challenge each other to reach that next level in their education- all while using OSMO!
