This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Puzzles, LEGOs, and art supplies play a significant role in enhancing students' social skills by fostering collaboration, communication, and empathy. When students work together on puzzles or LEGO projects, they must communicate effectively, share ideas, and cooperate to achieve common goals, which strengthens their ability to work as a team. These activities also provide opportunities for conflict resolution and negotiation, essential components of social interaction. Similarly, art supplies encourage students to express their emotions and perspectives creatively, promoting understanding and respect for others' viewpoints. By engaging in these group activities, students develop stronger relationships, improve their communication skills, and learn to appreciate the value of working together, all of which are crucial for their social development.
Our school recently put a ban on cell phones to combat the excessive cell phone use seen in students that has a clear impact on academics as well as their social abilities.
The goal of my project is to create an environment that not only supports academic learning but also nurtures essential social skills that students will carry into their personal and professional lives.
