My students need paper, ink and markers in order to help them share their thoughts and analysis of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Wiley's classroom raised $198

My Students
My classroom is a vibrant place in which we analyze and discuss literature on a daily basis. Students are encouraged to think outside of the box, and to make connections between other literary pieces they have read. I am so excited to be introducing my 8th graders to Romeo and Juliet this spring!
My students come from a diverse New York City neighborhood.
Many of my students come from the local Ft. Hamilton army base. My school is a large school, but it maintains a strong feeling of community and family. Students are interested in learning new things, and are very excited about doing project based learning and inquiry projects.
My Project
These materials will help my students with their upcoming unit on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. For most of my students, this will be their first exposure to Shakespeare, and we will be doing a lot of "hands-on" projects throughout the unit, in order to help students of all learning levels to be able to share their thoughts, ideas and feelings on the play. Some students really like to use the computer and printer to show what they are learning, and some students like to use their artistic abilities. These materials will really give my students the resources they need to have many choices when deciding which projects to create.
These students will benefit from the materials, as they will have a number of options available to them when they are deciding what to do.
Many students, unfortunately, do not have the resources at home to complete their work. If I am funded for this project, my classroom will be well-equipped so that students will have everything they need!
